GREAT NEWS, FAMILIES:

The Petaluma Wildlife Museum's 2022 Summer Camp
is back and is the place to be this summer!

We are SO very excited to be able to re-open our doors and once again offer a fun and educational summer camp program for children in our community.  In 2019, the PWM Summer Camp was re-structured with new and innovative ideas to engage and enthrall children between the ages of 5 -12 years. In 2022, campers can once again look forward to fun-filled weeks of ‘up-close-and-personal’ animal interactions, cool educational games/activities, art and crafts, and special guest presenters. The curriculum will include learning about the history of the museum; animal care and handling; wildlife preservation, conservation and ecology; and will also incorporate relevant animal themes and activities correlating with the availability of our amazing guest presenters.

The following are just a few of the activities that will be offered each week:
  • Gardening
  • Carpentry
  • Painting
  • Field games
  • Puzzles, board games, activities
  • Nature-based arts and crafts
  • Water play…
  • And, in-line with an emergent curriculum, we anticipate there to be many MANY more child-inspired ‘special’ projects…!

Every day campers can look forward to handling and caring for the museum animals under the close supervision of our trained student docents and camp counselors.

Requirements:
  • Camp hours will be from 9:00am-1:00pm daily.
  • Campers will need to bring a snack, lunch, and a water bottle every day.
  • Each 1-week session is $325 (including a camp T-shirt). A 10% discount is available for siblings enrolled in the same session, and/or for children who enroll in 2 or more sessions.
  • All participants will need to show proof of vaccination and be masked, indoors and out.

There will be 5-week long sessions this summer:
  • July 11 – 15
  • July 18 – 22
  • July 25 – 29
  • Aug 1 – 5
  • Aug 8 – 12

To reserve a spot for you child or if you have questions, please e-mail: Karen@petalumawildlifemuseum.com or text (707) 322-2393.
